INSPIRING KINDNESS

STRENGTHENING OUR COMMUNITY

Our Campaigns

Winter Wear

Good condition pre-loved winter clothing and footwear and brand new items accepted such as, underwear, all donated by our community and redistributed locally to schools and agencies.  This campaign was born from an identified need, to provide many local children and youth living at a disadvantage, with warm, winter appropriate clothing.  Donations are distributed throughout the Limestone Coast, including rural schools and as far as Naracoorte and Millicent.

The Essentials

The Essentials seeks donations of brand new personal hygiene items, essential for daily living, from local businesses and community members.  Drop off locations for the donations are found at local participating businesses and shopping centers.  All donations are redistributed to local families, children, youth, persons and homeless persons in need, through primary and high schools, agencies and from local knowledge of those in need.

Quench & Play

Four Reasons Why has seen first hand the substantial number of children without access to their own drink bottle, and/or sports ball to kick around their backyard.  We believe EVERY child should have access to these basic commodities.  We request that the public do not donate drink bottles, as we seek to source surplus, unwanted, brand new merchandise bottles from local businesses.  We request donations from all interested to participate, of new or used sports balls, soccer, netball, basketball and football’s only.

SMAP

As a branch from the Quench and Play Campaign, the Sports Membership Assistance Program  is about providing opportunities to local youth to participate in sport and belong to a local sporting club.  An opportunity that families could not otherwise afford.  Sport can be a pivotal and crucial part of having and maintaining good mental health and self-esteem for our youth, who may have a trauma history and/or live in poverty.

This campaign also encourages youth to participate in physical activity through alternative programs such as gym memberships, dance and even horse-riding lessons for those not inclined to play competitive sport.

This program is targeted at youth aged from 8 – 20 years and is at the discretion of the FRW board.

Targeted Campaigns

One of our favourite ways to act in kindness, comes from identifying various needs in our community throughout the year and providing assistance, where practical and where possible, to our local community.  This can range from providing back to school supplies, uniforms and backpacks to one on one help for someone or a family in need.  Furniture, food, clothing, hygiene items, driving lesson, school camp fees, Christmas items…..  Any way that we can share and express kindness through those that give, to those that allow themselves to reach out and receive, we at Four Reasons Why pledge to do our very best to accommodate.
